Job summary

Join Standard Chartered Bank as a Project Manager & SME, Financial Markets Analytics, Risk and Valuations Platform within the Markets Technology SABRE in Warsaw, Poland. You will manage and support global projects and users, working closely with Traders, Risk Managers and Product Controllers in Financial Markets, as well as the global SABRE team across China, Singapore, India, Poland and London. This Change-The -Bank role requires leadership, creative thinking, problem solving skills and an ability to embrace and drive change.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of Risk and Valuation software solutions, including the rollout of mathematical models to optimize calculations.
  • Perform typical Project Management tasks (20%) and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on derivatives risk calculation (80%).
  • Propose solutions to risk managers and traders, acting as an SME.
  • Work closely with traders in a user-facing IT role.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team covering Change and user engagement, IT Solution design and implementation, testing and validations, demos, and user training.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Financial Markets within a financial institution or a leading risk management software company, in end-user facing roles.
  • Experience working with traders, risk managers, hands on quantitative analytics, understand products (linear, derivatives), models, language.
  • Strong academic foundation in Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Hands-on knowledge of options and derivatives risk and pricing in at least one asset class.
  • Experience working with traders and risk managers, with hands-on quantitative analytics skills.
  • Ability to drive design, architecture, and implementation discussions, acting as a bridge between users, quantitative analysts, and IT
  • Ability to efficiently manage deliveries with global teams, including Quants, Technology development and QA.
  • Senior enough to communicate effectively with Managing Directors and heads of desks.
  • Passionate about solving challenging problems with a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptive to changing situations and enjoy collaborating with global teams in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English.
