Job Summary

This role is a project management role to lead the data squad under the Genesis Programme.

The Genesis Programme is a multi-year project to automate and digitise balance sheet simulators, balance sheet analysers, corporate planning and forecasting.  The programme aims to achieve this by adopting a common hierarchy / taxonomy across all of GCFO. This new functionality will be hosted on GCFO’s new software (SAP Aspire) which will host all GCFO (Finance & Treasury) data with a view to dramatically improving user experience. These software changes will result in changes and improvements to existing business as usual operating models.

This role will need to track, manage and monitor activities across all impacted areas in Treasury, Finance and the businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the data squad under the Genesis Programme.
  • Responsible for Agile processes and improvement cycles.
  • Prioritise removal of impediments and coach the team on how to resolve issues.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with businesses and customer groups and within the team.
  • Ensure the squad’s work is transparent.
  • Manage issues as and when they arise.
  • Maintain the focus on customer value and outcomes.
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead the team to achieve best delivery and build quality.
  • Help the team achieve a sustainable pace with time for innovation and learning.
  • Develop roadmaps, project plans and ensure these are well socialised and agreed within the overall project.
  • Develop appropriate monitoring and tracking metrics for management office and Steering Committee.

Skills and Experience

  • Master degree is required,  preferred in finance or accountancy.
  • 6+ years of experience in Treasury / PNL / Balance Sheet / Finance.
  • Experience in Agile delivery.
  • Experience in delivering projects as a Project Manager.
  • Capable of Senior Stakeholder Management and producing status reporting to Working Groups and Committees.
  • Confident and skilled at identifying and navigating through issues and impediments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to ‘coach’ teams on agile practices to support the Squad to deliver maximum business value.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Promotes innovative thinking and self-development, is willing to try new things in the interests of improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills covering both senior and operational levels.
  • Hands on experience in delivering Treasury/Finance changes in Tier 1 Bank or treasury/finance department of large corporations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a very good standard of English (written and spoken).
