Job Summary

 

Join Standard Chartered’s Markets Technology team as a SABRE Programme Delivery Risk Manager, a key member supporting the development of the bank’s strategic cross-asset pricing and risk management platform. You’ll oversee programme delivery risks for a USD 40M annual portfolio, ensuring accurate tracking, timely communication, and full compliance with governance standards. Working closely with the Programme Manager, Project Managers, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit teams, you’ll help ensure every key milestone and go-live meets the bank’s rigorous standards and is properly documented in Clarity systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional passionate about financial markets, technology, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage programme delivery risks, ensuring accurate tracking, timely communication, and reporting in line with bank standards.
  • Coordinate with Programme and Project Managers on milestones, go-lives, and governance approvals.
  • Maintain programme documentation in Clarity systems, ensuring complete audit trails and RAID lifecycle evidence.
  • Liaise with Operational Risk, Enterprise Change Management, and Internal Audit teams to meet compliance expectations.
  • Support programme governance by ensuring adherence to approval processes and standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the SABRE programme delivery framework.

Skills & Experience

•    Minimum 8 years of experience in banking, preferably in Financial Markets.
•    Experience interacting with Operational Risk Officers and Auditors.
•    Familiarity with Clarity systems and enterprise change management processes.
•    Passion for innovation, learning, and continuous improvement within financial technology environments.
•    Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile).
•    Hands-on experience managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) on large-scale programmes.
•    Excellent command of English; experience working in global, multicultural environments.
•    Solid academic background in Mathematics / Financial Mathematics / Statistics (MSc or PhD preferred).
•    Understanding of options & derivatives pricing in at least one asset class.
•    Highly structured, organised, and detail-oriented.
•    Proactive, self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
•    Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
•    Integrity, accountability, and commitment to regulatory and business conduct excellence.
