  • Continuously develop your professional knowledge and insights through training and understanding industry trends as a champion for assigned model families.
  • Build trust with our stakeholder community across all lines of defence.
  • Meet and engage regularly to understand any business developments and challenges.
  • Participate in and support GIAI leadership’s attendance in committees and fora.
  • Provide regular updates within GIAI on relevant developments and audit outcomes on model risk.
  • Provide high quality opinions, insights, and reporting.
  • Champion innovation using leading edge methods of data analytics and use of technology.
  • Operate as Audit Team Leader or Audit Team Manager to assess audit risks, develop testing strategy, lead execution, and manage auditee relationship to deliver audit outputs.
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert in model risk-related audits, performing testing, documenting findings, and supporting the drafting of audit issues and report.
  • Track and validate assigned audit issues to confirm that the risks have been mitigated by the timely delivery of agreed management action plans.

Skills and Experience

  • 10 years of experience across banking or consulting, with quantitative degree e.g. mathematics or finance, or professional certifications FRM / CFA.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with ability to clearly explain risks and controls.
  • In-depth understanding of quantitative Model Risk Management, processes, and associated control requirements.
  • 5+ years of Experience within Model Development or Model Validation.
  • Advanced experience in Market risk (IMA, Financial Markets), or Counterparty Credit Risk (IMM, CVA). Experience of other modelling areas such as Financial Crime and the use of Artificial Intelligence is also desirable.
