Key Responsibilities

 

  • Business Support for external procurement:
    • Understanding processes of external procurement and vendor onboarding, payments and engagement requirements, to support with all topics relating to non-outsourcing procurement.
    • Together with group service provider, providing training and support to the business stakeholders across Germany, France, Sweden and Poland with respect to the front to back oversight of process from Engagement Request and Purchase Orders through to payments.
    • For procurement that is not outsourcing, oversee monitoring, reviewing and risk mitigation in accordance with the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework.
  • Finance vendor processes:
    • Maintain CFO log for payments and provide support to finance team with accruals and reclasses.
    • Be the local contact point for Finance topics related to travel, travel costs and travel policy.
    • Coordinate invoices payment process – oversee work by Accounts Payable team and act as escalation point to ensure vendor payments are made timely. 
    • Performing processes to pay and track direct debits and invoices.
    • Tracking external procurements (non-outsourcing).
  • Outsourcing governance for Supply Chain Management and Finance:
    • Complete Requester Led Procurement where applicable for the Finance team.
    • Coordinate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) team for SCM related initiatives 
    • Provide oversight and KPI monitoring for the SCB AG entity of the services provided by the regional SCM Governance team and ensure effective end-to-end management of third-party risk. 
    • Work with the Finance Team and Outsourcing 1st Line Team to ensure all Service Level Agreements within Finance are subject to appropriate oversight, demonstrating control and monitoring in line with the local regulatory requirements in Germany (in particular, MaRisk).
  • Outsourcing budget / cost governance:
    • Support in Budget Tracking and improving cost controlling relating to intra group and external outsourcings across the business.
  • Improve Vendor Engagement:
    • Be the point of contact for external vendors and perform tracking of new services available on the market that can be useful for the Bank.
    • Support the business to negotiate the pricing and other service conditions with vendors where the engagement is below the minimum cap for SCM involvement. 

Skills and Experience

  • Solid Financial background including:
    • Understanding of accounting (debits and credits, accruals, prepayments etc).
    • Ability to perform reconciliations, budget tracking etc.
  • Strong Excel competencies.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task with tight lead times.    
  • Mental tenacity and analytical mind having the ability to take on tough and complex challenges. yet remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Good understanding of emerging third-party risk that is relevant in financial services industry.
  • Experience in third party risk management.
  • Ability to operate collaboratively in a complex, multi-country and multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to influence others and skillfully build credibility with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant German regulatory requirements (MaRisk, KWG) a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally.
  • German or French language skills would be an advantage.
