We are seeking a passionate and experienced US Regime Lead, FM RegOps to lead our regulatory operations team and shape the strategic direction for North American regulatory regimes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise processes and controls for US Regulatory Operations.
- Lead the U.S Regulatory Operations team to define and deliver strategic direction for North American regulatory regimes.
- Manage relevant risks and issues, ensuring visibility across governance structures.
- Identify, assess, monitor, control, and mitigate risks to the Group.
- Act as the regulatory regimes’ risk control owner under the Group’s Risk Management Framework.
- Plan and structure frameworks for effective governance, oversight, and controls.
- Provide updates and attend relevant governance forums and committees.
- Ensure well-defined, documented, and effective controls through offshore team oversight.
- Rationalize regulatory changes impacting FM Operations’ processes and controls.
- Oversee other key reporting responsibilities including FED 2420 and other local reporting.
- Provide ongoing training and development for team members.
- Assess and oversee changes in governance arrangements as needed.
- Manage relationships with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, COO team, Front Office, regulators, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Act as the lead operational contact for stakeholders relevant to the regimes
- Stay informed about the wider business, economic, and market environment.
Skills and Experience
- Expert knowledge of Part 43 and Part 45 of DFA
- Expert knowledge of sections 901 and 902 of SEC
- Knowledge of Canadian reporting
- Knowledge of FED 2420
- Knowledge of large trader reporting.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 170,000 USD to 210,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
